Aventura Treasurer Make checks payable to AVENTURA. Thank you! 2. About 'Photos': You can get to the photographs by clicking on 'Photos' or by following the menues that drop down. 'Photos' will get you to the main page for viewing all the photographs; the drop-down menues will take you directly to certain areas. Once you're in the Photo area, here are some additional helps: a. You'll see the menu bar has changed. On the top left of the page it says 'Home >> Family Slides (994 slides)'. You can click on Home to take you back to the page after the one you signed in on (same as #2 above). You can click on 'Slides' to take you to the main Slide page. b. The photos are organized into folders. (The first page has a folder called 'Family', for instance.) Click on the folder to open it: as you go deeper into the folders, each of the folder names you pass through will appear on the menu bar and can be clicked on. c. Click on the '1950s' folder, and you're down to actual photos; this view is called the 'thumbnail' view, since all the pictures are very small. That blue up-arrow will take you back to the previous folder. Click on a slide and you'll see a large version of the picture. Here's some info about the page you're looking at: i). The title shows up on the blue menu bar and underneath the picture. ii). Under the blue menu bar there are 7 buttons. Starting from the left, they do the following:
iii). If a button is blue, you can click it; if it is grey, it is not active. iv). There are also up to 3 thumbnail views of slides on each side of the big picture, showing what's passed and what's coming. You can click on one of them and jump to it directly. v). At the bottom right of the picture there's an arrow pointing down. If you click on that - or if you click on the picture itself - it will open a new window with the picture full-size. This will allow you to save the full-size original picture. vi). There are also some keyboard short-cuts for all this:
vii). If the photo was taken by an electronic camera, information such as the date & time, whether the flash was used and what f-stop was used is displayed. If the photo was taken by an ordinary camera & was scanned into the computer, there is no info. viii). The slide show moves through the slides in this folder at the rate of 1 every 4 seconds. 6. About 'Web': I've been poking around the Internet for some interesting and useful sites. If you like this page you can bookmark it; or if you just want to grab one or two links, in most browsers you can click-and-drag the link to your 'favorites' bar. |
